In lieu of our regular meeting, we will be the guests of the Lynn-Heidelberg Historical Society as we tour Ontelaunee Park in New Tripoli.
The park was once an active Amusement Park from 1914-1966. Today, the Lynn-Heidelberg Historical Society has 4 historic structures in the park including the 1750 George Zeisloff Log House, Fort Everett which was an active fort through the French and Indian War, the Mail Pouch Barn, and the New Tripoli Train Station. It wlll be great learning about the histories attached to each structure.
We will meet at the GWHS campus at 5:00 PM and will carpool to the site.
Dinner will follow at Katie’s Family Restaurant.
Any one interested in joining us for the visit, please email and let us know by Aug. 8th, and tell us if you will be going to dinner also. firstname.lastname@example.org
